The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

Starkville Community Blood Drive — Mississippi Blood Services will hold a blood drive July 5 at Dollar General on Stark Rd. Donors will receive either a T-shirt or a “summer treat” while supplies lasts. Donating blood is safe, simple and saves lives.
