The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@ starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run in Around Town on Sundays only. One-time events will run as usual in Around Town Monday through Friday.

◆ Unlimited Community Agricultural Cooperative—UCAC meets every fourth Saturday of the month at American Legion Post #240, on Pat Station Road. The purpose of UCAC is to keep small farmers and landowners informed of the opportunities available to help their enterprises.
◆ ICS Pre-School Recruitment—Parents interested in information concerning the application process for enrollment at the Institute of Community Services (ICS) HeadStart can call 662-2521582 ext 149. There are no fees for families enrolling their children in HeadStart.

◆ Life in Your Years— The “Life in Your Years” is a free group for adults presented by Christian Changes Counseling and Recovery Center. ◆ Help for Homeless Students—Project HELP assists students in the Starkville Oktibbeha School District by providing school uniforms, school supplies, personal hygiene items, and other supports as needed. ◆ BrainMinders Puppet Show—Starkville Pilot Club offers a BrainMinders Puppet Show for groups of 25 or fewer children. The show lasts 15 minutes and teaches children about head/brain safety.
