The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

◆ Tai Chi Classes — The Wellness Connection at OCH Regional Medical Center will offer an eight-week Tai Chi course on Tuesdays beginning July 11 from 5:15 – 6:45 p.m. to August 29. ◆ On the Grill at Parker-McGill — Parker-McGill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host a weekly “On the Grill” every Saturday. Free food will be provided and visitors can meet the Parker-McGill staff

◆ Chick-fil-A Stuffs the Bus — July 29, Chick-fil-A is partnering with the Starkville Junior Auxiliary on its annual “Stuff the Bus” school supply drive. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Chick-fil-A Starkville team members will receive donations of school supplies that will be distributed to children who need them

◆ The Dog Paddle — On August 12 from 9 a.m. to noon Oktibbeha County Humane Society will host its seventh annual Dog Paddle at Moncrief Pool. OCHS will open the pool to all the dogs of Starkville for an entrance fee. The fee will contribute to the spay and neuter fund, which helps decrease animal overpopulation
