David (Dave) Michael Hammond

David (Dave) Michael Hammond, 20, passed away in Sturgis, MS on October 13, 2017. David was a welding student at East Mississippi Community College and worked at Welding Works in Starkville. He also attended church at Redeemer Church in Starkville, MS and Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifton Edward Hammond, Sr. and Rocky & Jeanne Lombardo.

He is survived by his parents, Cliff and Ruth Hammond of Sturgis, MS; siblings, Jonathan, Michelle, Charity, Daniel, and Samuel Hammond, all of Sturgis, MS, Sarah Hammond of Pensacola, FL, and Elisabeth Hammond of Greenwood, SC; grandparents, Dr. Tom and Linda Gilmer of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS. Steve Parker will conduct the service. Burial will be in Morgan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
