The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run in Around Town on Sundays only. One-time events will run as usual in Around Town Monday through Friday.

◆ Casserole Kitchen — The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection hosts a casserole kitchen every Saturday at Parish hall at 11:30 a.m.
◆ On the Grill at Parker-McGill — Parker-McGill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host a weekly “On the Grill” every Saturday. Free food will be provided and visitors can meet the Parker-McGill staff

◆ Learn to Homebrew Day — The GTR Brewers and Smiling Frog Brewing Supply will host GTR Learn To Homebrew Day Nov. 4th at 2 p.m. Learn about homebrewing your own delicious beer. Local homebrewers will be brewing several batches of beer throughout the event to teach you the joy of homebrewing

◆ Bowl For Vets — Bowl for Veterans Day will celebrate, honor and support Mississippi veterans. Come bowl Nov. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at G.T. Lane Bowline Alley. We will enjoy music by Mozart (Piano Concerto 21 in C Major) and Cherubini’s Requiem In C Minor. Barry Kopetz will conduct and Gary Packwood will conduct the MSU State Singers and Symphony Chorus
