The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

◆ FOL Monthly Book Sale — The Starkville Public Library's Friends of the Library monthly book sale will be held Nov. 6 from Noon-6:00 pm. Specials include: a large selection of Christmas books; a group of science fiction/fantasy and romance paperbacks for 25 cents; and a half price sale on James Patterson hard covers
