◆ SPL Discussion of the “Inferno”— On Jan. 16 at 4 p.m. at the Starkville Public Library, Dr. Nancy Hargrove will lead a discussion of Cantos 1-11 of Dante's “Inferno.” Participants should read those cantos along with the short intros and notes for each in Ciardi's translation published by Signet Classics.
