◆ EMCC Launch Pad — EMMC Launch Pad offers free classes in Adult Education, Workkeys Prep, ACT Prep, Employabil­ity Skills Training, and Basic Skills Training. ◆ CWJC Training — Christian Women’s Job Corps, Golden Triangle is offering job and life skills training in classes Jan. 23 through April. This free faith-based program provides instructio­n in basic computer skills, communicat­ions, resume’ writing, interview preparatio­n, money management, Bible study and much more. ◆ MSU Veterans’ Center Dedication — On Feb. 3 at 10 a.m., the Flagpole Assembly in front of the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Center for America’s Veterans on the MSU campus will be dedicated to Colonel John W. Thames to commemorat­e his years of service to the country, university and community. A reception will follow for friends and family. All are welcome to attend.
