The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@ starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

◆ EMCC Launch Pad — EMMC Launch Pad offers free classes in Adult Education, Workkeys Prep, ACT Prep, Employability Skills Training, and Basic Skills Training. ◆ Alcoholics Anonymous — Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet every Saturday at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church
◆ Casserole Kitchen — The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection hosts a casserole kitchen every Saturday at Parish hall at 11:30 a.m.
◆ On the Grill at Parker-McGill — Parker-McGill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host a weekly “On the Grill” every Saturday. Free food will be provided and visitors can meet the ParkerMcGill staff
◆Company Reunion - American Bosch, AMBAC, United Technologies, Johnson Electric and former employers to have a reunion and lunch, beginning 10:30 until 1 p.m. June 2 at Ranch House Diner at 807 Alabama St., Columbus.
◆Healthy Wealthy and Wise Health Fair — Healthy Wealthy and Wise Health Fair presented by Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 2 at the Starkville Sportsplex featureing free screenings and giveaways and a free onsite health class with Jennifer Graham at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
◆COCO Awards Program— 4th Annual awards program will be June 2 at the COCO Center at 6 p.m. Donors will be honored, and the Irene and David Rogers memorial scholarship recipients will be awarded. Two $500 scholarships will be given to graduating high school seniors. Starkville High School JROTC will post the colors. The program is open to the public.
◆SHS Class of 1968 Reunion — The Starkville High School Class of 1968 will hold their 50th class reunion June 2. A picnic style lunch will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the FBC Outreach Center. An evening dinner and program will be held at the Mill at 6 p.m. with tours of SHS, MSU athletic facilities, Mitchell Memorial Library and the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum.
