OCH to enter contract discussions with new administrator

The OCH Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees voted in executive session to enter into contract discussions with one applicant for the administrator role during a special call meeting Tuesday evening.

Chair of the OCH Board of Trustees Linda Breazeale said she could not disclose who the applicant is at this time, in case the contract discussions don't pan out and the discussion moves to another candidate.

Breazeale said the announcement of the new administrator is tentatively slated for the end of the month.

Breazeale said the special call meeting was scheduled to allow board members the opportunity to “get on the same page” on the half a dozen applications the board received.

The meeting began at 4 p.m. and concluded around 6:30 p.m.

When asked about specific details on the potential new administrator, Breazeale said she could not disclose any more specific details on the candidate.

“It's sufficient to say it's someone it's someone we felt would be a good fit for OCH and for this community,” Breazeale said.
