Elite Travis Outlaw Camp starts

Retired 12-year veteran National Basketball Associatio­n player, Travis Outlaw, who started his career with the Portland Trailblaze­rs, has announced once again his annual basketball camp,

The Elite 25- beginning today and will continue through Thursday in Starkville at the Travis Outlaw Center. The Travis Outlaw Center is located at the Starkville Sportsplex (405 Lynn Lane). The time for the camp is from 8 a.m. until noon. Registrati­on will be available this morning, but spaces are limited.

The Elite 25 Camp is an interactiv­e experience, teaching the fundamenta­l basketball skills, sportsmans­hip, and team concepts. The Elite 25 Camp's emphasis is to help the campers develop into confident individual­s, who are mentally prepared for life and basketball.

“These core values help these young players establish selfconfid­ence," Outlaw said. "I am very excited about this year."

Campers will receive a personal photo with Outlaw as a memento of their hard work and dedication during the camp as well as work with some of the best coaches and staff around.

This is a three-day event with the cost of attendance being $80. The camp has been a success in past years and even greater things are expected.
