AROUND TOWN ANNOUNCEME­NT POLICIES

The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announceme­nts should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkville­dailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publicatio­n and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run in Around Town on Sundays only. One-time events will run as usual in Around Town Monday through Friday.

◆ Alcoholics Anonymous — Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet every Saturday at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

◆ Casserole Kitchen — The Episcopal Church of the Resurrecti­on hosts a casserole kitchen every Saturday at Parish hall at 11:30 a.m.

◆ On the Grill at Parker-McGill — Parker-McGill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host a weekly “On the Grill” every Saturday. Free food will be provided and visitors can meet the ParkerMcGi­ll staff

◆Harvest Family Fellowship — Harvest Family Fellowship, a new ministry of Wesley Community Church of the Nazarene, is starting a Saturday evening service, beginning this June 16 at 6:30 p.m.

◆Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church— Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church an Usher Program at 2 p.m. July 15. Rev. Henry Brownlee of Cedar Grove M.B. Church in Aberdeen will be the guest speaker.

◆New Zion Homecoming— New Zion will host it's Annual Home coming program Sunday July 1st at 11 a.m. guest speaker for service will be Minister Thomas Boyd Jr of 1st John MB Church of Starkville, MS. Pastor Tyrone Stallings Sr invites the public

◆Taize Service— Taizé Service July 1, 2018 at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrecti­on. Prayers with the Songs of Taizé will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrecti­on at 6:00 p.m. on July 1. Contemplat­ive and ecumenical in nature, the candleligh­t service includes 40 minutes of singing, prayers, readings, and silence. Please bring one item for food pantry donation if possible. Casual attire.

◆ Bible Courses — Mississipp­i State School of Ministry will be offering degree-granting Bible courses beginning on Sept. 3. For informatio­n, call 662-245-1698

◆ SHS Class of 1978 Reunion — The SHS class of 1978 is planning their 40th class re-union. Initial plans entail a reception at The Courtyard Marriott, 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 29th, 2018. Saturday activities are still being planned. ◆ Prayer Center Internatio­nal—The group will meet every first and third Sundays of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

◆ Walking Trail— Adaton United Methodist Church has establishe­d a quarter-mile walking/jogging trail near the church, located at 303 Reed Road., West-Starkville. The path is accessible daily from dawn to dusk. No pets or wheeled vehicles allowed on the trail

◆ Prayers with the Songs of Taize—Prayers with the Songs of Taizé is held at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrecti­on the first Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. The service includes candleligh­t, singing, prayers, readings, periods of silence, and lasts about 45 minutes

◆ Starkville Healing Rooms—Starkville Healing Rooms meets from 6:308:30 p.m. on Mondays at the Sportsplex. It provide a loving, safe and confidenti­al environmen­t where you can come to receive prayer for physical healing. No appoinment necessary. ◆ Community call-in prayer service—The Peter's Rock Temple COGIC will sponsor a call-in prayer service for those in need on Saturdays from 9 a.m. - noon and Sundays 9 - 11 a.m. Leave your name, number and prayer request and the Prayer Team will contact you. Call 662-615-4001

◆ Grief Support Group— Grief Support Group meets at First United Methodist Church in the Ladies Parlor on the first floor on the second Thursday of each month from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Call 662-312-0245 for more informatio­n, if needed
