Mickey D. Edwards

Mickey D. Edwards, age 74, left this earthly life to be with our Lord on June 30, 2018. He was a father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mickey was a very avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing with his two sons and grandsons. His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. It was very important for him to be at the Wellness Center every weekday morning visiting with friends and drinking coffee. Another one of his daily activities included going by Allen and Mike's shops to make sure that they were both working, and everything was going smooth. He loved visiting and telling stories and jokes with everyone.

He is survived by one brother Grady (GB) (Nelda) Edwards of Vicksburg; two sons, Allen (Jeanna) Edwards and Mike (Donna) Edwards of Starkville and daughter Sherrie (Warren) Cox of Collierville, TN. Grandchildren Mickey Edwards, JD Edwards, Blake Harrell, Drew Harrell, Parker Cox, Lindsay Cox, Allison Barnes and Zachary Barnes and great grandchildren Logan Edwards, Leighton Edwards and Carder Weaver. One niece Lee Ann Edwards. He is also survived by his special friend Jane Perry and his loyal dog Zip. He was proceeded in death by his parents Grady B. Edwards and Clytee Frye.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 2nd, 2018, at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. There will be a visitation from 10-11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018, with a memorial service at 11 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Memorial Gardens Park.
