EMCC to hold softball tryouts
SCOOBA – East Mississippi Community College will hold open softball tryouts on Tuesday, July 10, on the Scooba campus.
Under the guidance of first-year head softball coach Austin McNair, EMCC's upcoming softball tryout session is open to unsigned 2018 high school seniors with NJCAA eligibility remaining. Interested players are encouraged to contact McNair (jmcnair@eastms.edu or 662-476-5043) for additional information. Tryouts are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the EMCC Softball Field with registration beginning at 5:30 p.m.
A $20 tryout fee per player is required and participants are asked to bring their own softball equipment to EMCC's tryout session, including gloves, cleats, bats and helmets. Catchers are asked to bring their own catching gear as well.
