On the Grill at Parker-mcgill — Parker-mcgill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host a weekly “On the Grill” every Saturday. Free food will be provided and visitors can meet the Parkermcgill staff.

of the Soul Community Event — The Mississippi Golden Triangle Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host its annual, “Taste of the Soul” community event on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 3:00 - 5:00pm at the Starkville Sports Complex. Admission is free. This year's program will honor “The Queen of Soul,” Mrs. Aretha Franklin. A southern hat procession is one of this year's featured events. Members of the community are encouraged to participate. Let's see who has the fanciest hat in town! Arrive early and bring the family! Light refreshments will be served.
Sunday Community Fellowship Worship Service — The Oktibbeha County Ministerial Alliance's (OCMA) Sunday Community Fellowship Worship Service will be on February 10, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. Rev. James Covington, Jr. of Mt. Olive M.B. Church will bring the message. Blackjack M.B. Church is the host church.

Walking Trail—adaton United Methodist Church has established a quarter-mile walking/jogging trail near the church, located at 303 Reed Road., West-starkville. The path is accessible daily from dawn to dusk. No pets or wheeled vehicles allowed on the trail
