The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

◆ Rotary — The Starkville Rotary Club meets at 11:45 a.m. at the Starkville Country Club.
◆ EMCC Launch Pad — EMCC Launch Pad offers free classes in Adult Education, Workkeys Prep, ACT Prep, Employability Skills Training, and Basic Skills Training. ◆ Al-anon meeting — Alanon meets every Tuesday night from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at The Church of the Resurrection 105 N Montgomery St, Starkville, MS 39759. “Al-anon meetings focus on coping with the effects of someone’s addiction, One Day at a Time.”
