SCOOBA – East Mississippi Community College’s Ja’mia Hollings has been selected as the MACJC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week following a pair of double-double efforts during last week's EMCC home victories over Meridian and Holmes.
Hollings, a freshman forward for coach Sharon Thompson's 12-2 EMCC Lady Lions, raised her season total to seven double-doubles by averaging 12 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and two assists during last week's pair of outings. The West Point product also shot a collective 53 percent (8-15 field goals) from the field and 73 percent (8-11 free throws) from the line.
