Montgomery Bed and Breakfast to host a concert on the lawn

Montgomery Bed and Breakfast is hosting a concert on the lawn as husband and wife duet Honey Boy and Boots are playing this Saturday at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Lynn Berch is with the Montgomery and said that the event will be socially distanced as it is held on the lawn. The last concert that was held there had an audience of about 75 people, but Berch said they could hold 200, Tickets cost $10.

“You bring your chair, your blanket and your cooler with whatever you are going to drink,” Berch said. “You can sit back and relax and enjoy the music and the atmosphere. Plenty of room for social distancing. The lawn is really, really big so people can spread out however they want to spread out and keep themselves safe.”

While the event is a bring your own beverage event, there is food that will be available for purchase on the property as Mom and Pop food truck will be there.

“I want them to be supported also,” Berch said of the food truck.

Football season is just around the corner and as a result Montgomery Bed and Breakfast is also hosting tailgating on the lawn. Berch said that everyone will need to bring their own tent, electricit­y generator and food and beverage.

The cost is $100, and people can set up from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. unless the games go later. Montgomery Bed and Breakfast is providing the space and the big screen to show the game.
