Lowe, Stratton do best in mostly rough week for Bulldogs

- By ROBBIE FAULK

Major League Baseball is going strong as sports have been returning to the forefront during the middle of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Aside from a couple of teams in the league, there have been no major outbreaks and former Mississippi State baseball players are getting a chance to showcase their talent as we enter midway through the schedule.

The Bulldogs had 12 players that were on the 60-man pool that teams were allowed to have for summer training and they have nine on MLB rosters at the moment. Not only are the players on the rosters, they’re making a major impact early on as baseball has come back.

Each week, numbers on the former MSU players will be updated from week that was, the season that is and the career that has been to this point.

This week, it was a rough one for the Bulldogs. Nate Lowe did get six hits in seven games and his fourth homer and Chris Stratton allowed just one earned run in four appearances.
