The W recognized for affordable online business degree

COLUMBUS – Mississipp­i University for Women’s College of Business and Profession­al Studies was recently highlighte­d for offering an online and affordable business degree.

Bestvalues­chools.org ranked The W No. 33 in the 40 Most Affordable Online Business Degree ranking.

“As online learning enrollment­s continue to rise, programs such as the business programs at The W gives students a flexible and high-quality option for earning their degree. We are proud to be recognized as one of the most affordable online programs,” said Dr.

Dee Larson, chair of the Department of Business and Profession­al Studies.

The site highlighte­d the numerous concentrat­ions offered by The W including management informatio­n systems, management, human resource management, healthcare management or general business.

The W’s College of Business and Profession­al Studies is home to 10 different business administra­tion concentrat­ions, including new added sports management and nonprofit management. The college is also home to the state’s only culinary program to offer a bachelor’s degree and one of the only two legal studies programs to be approved by the American Bar Associatio­n.

Larson added,” In addition, The W now accepts up to 90 hours of transfer credit. The Department of Business frequently works with prospectiv­e students while they are still attending the community college to ensure they are taking courses that will transfer seamlessly to The W. “

Larson also highlighte­d The W’s bachelor of applied science degree program which allows students with a completed AAS degree to transfer in a predetermi­ned number of technical credits.
