MSU is back with inperson classes as vaccine rolls out

Mississipp­i State University kicked off its Spring 2021 semester on Monday, and with the new COVID-19 (coronaviru­s) vaccinatio­ns rolling in, students look forward to the beginning of the end of the pandemic.

Broc Peden is a junior secondary education major at MSU, and he is excited by the notion of the beginning of normalcy returning this semester.

“I’m really excited about the vaccine coming to campus, and even more so to the public. I’m hoping it will soon bring our old life back to us, hopefully. I’m just glad that I can be back on campus at all this semester,” said Peden. “I have more classes this semester, so I’ll be on campus more and I feel like I will get more of a college experience being in class.”

When asked what his goals and expectatio­ns are for this semester, Peden gave the typical answer for any college student.

“For me, it’s the same as any other semester. Just stay right on the grades, try

With a coffee cup for a nose, coffee cup lid for a belly button, and quarters for eyes, Baked Bean’s creators were very proud of their snowy, well-padded lad.
