Ethel Boykin Thompson Coleman, age 95, of Crawford, MS, passed away March 22, 2021, at the Elderly Care Center of Macon, MS. Graveside services were Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Oaklimb Cemetery in Crawford with Rev. Kathy Baggett officiatin­g. Visitation was from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Crawford United Methodist Church. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 716 2nd Ave. North location is in charge of arrangemen­ts.

Mrs. Coleman was born October 7, 1925, in Noxubee County, MS, to the late Oscan Nickles and Mamie Smith Boykin, Sr. She was a retired bookkeeper from Cargill Elevator Company of Crawford and was a member of Crawford United Methodist Church. Mrs. Coleman was an accomplish­ed gardener and great cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands James G. Thompson, Sr. and Benjamin G. Coleman, son, James G. Thompson, Jr., brothers, Joe Herman Boykin, Oscar Boykin, Jr., and Ben Boykin, and sisters, Bessie Boykin, Annabelle Mitchener, Lurlean Wilson, Martha Fleming, Linda Conner, Sarah Alma Boykin, and Mary Kate Boykin.

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn T. Gentry and her husband Buddy of Starkville, MS; grandchild­ren, Lisa

Bridge, Merrie Gwin, Holly Wiley, Jim Thompson, Ashley Dalton, and Boykin Haskins; and numerous great grandchild­ren, great great grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearer­s will be great grandsons, Dillon Bridge, Logan Barnett, Barrett Barnett, Noah Gwin, Benjamin Wiley, Quinton Wiley, Davis Dalton, and Jack Dalton.
