John Roy Graef
John Roy Graef passed from this life April 5, 2022 in Philadelphia, PA . John was born on June 16,1971 at Felix Long Hospital in Starkville, MS. John was 51 years old. He graduated from Starkville High School and attended Mississippi State University and the University of Memphis.he was a Business major at Mississippi State University. John played in Little League Baseball in his youth and was a member of the Dogfish Swim Team. He was also an accomplished sound technician and worked on sound production for musical groups who played at Mississippi State University.
John was highly skilled in computer technology and built the website Neighborhood Support to assist others in computer use. John loved animals and rescued a dog and a cat. The dog was a white pitbull whom he named Sweetie. John enjoyed meeting foreign students at Mississippi State University and learning about their cultures. John was preceded in death by his brother David Andrew Graef and his maternal grandparents Dorothy and John Weinbrecht of Indianapolis, Indiana, and his paternal grandparents John and Helen Graef of Chicago, Illinois.
John is survived by his wife, Jennifer Romano of Hairisport, New Jersey, hiis mother Marilyn Graef of Starkville, Mississippi, his father John Graef of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and his brother Kevin Graef of Austin, Texas.
Starkville, MS passed away on May 14, 2022 at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point, MS.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 21, 2022, 11:00 am at New Prairie Grove M.B. Church in Starkville, MS. Final resting place New Prairie Grove M.B. Church Cemetery, Starkville, MS.
Public visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Hairston and Hairston Funeral Home – Starkville, MS
