Neal Christophe­r Gleaton

Neal Christophe­r Gleaton, 55, went to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on March 8, 2023, after a valiant 15-year fight with cardiovasc­ular disease. Neal was born July 9, 1967, in Yakima, WA to Jim and Rella Faris Gleaton. Neal lived at Marshall Lake near Newport, Washington, Prosser, Yakima, and then moved to Addy in 1979. In 1983 he graduated as Salutatori­an from Columbia River Christian Academy, Kettle Falls, then attended Walla Walla Community College for 2 years, leaving college to help his parents build his mother’s dream log home. Settling in Spokane, Neal met and married Anne Yochum on September 25, 1999, later moving to Mead.

Neal was a fixer of everything, a mechanic, plumber, electricia­n, and carpenter, learned from his father and paternal Grandpa Paul. Hobbies included leatherwor­king, computer gaming, the family’s computer repair guy, gunsmith, and deer hunting with his fathers and sons. As “Chef ”, he mastered the art of grilling & smoking and was chief griddle master or numerous camping trips and family events. With quick wit and fun personalit­y, he was fun to be around.

In Neal’s career he owned a comic book shop, worked constructi­on building log homes, was a driver for Pony Express, became co- owner of Amazing Electronic­s of Spokane, in the late 90”s moving into IT service and repair, working for several companies including the installati­on of the new computer system for the Providence Health system. Neal’s most loved occupation was stay- at- home dad for the last six years raising two Eagle Scouts and a Girl Scout

“Cookie”. The family recently went to Israel to visit the Holy Land.

Neal is survived by his wife Anne and children, Noah, Abraham, and Olivia Gleaton, Mead: parents Jim and Rella Gleaton, Addy; sister Sheryl (Ren) Evans of Spokane;; nephew and niece Cameron Wilkinson and Rene Wilkinson, Walla Walla; 2 maternal aunts, Lana Cline, Pasco and Teena Faris, Mead; cousins Jeremy Barnhart, Sunnyside and Jennifer Cline (Dan) Yochum, Pasco; Anne’s family of 4 brothers, 3 sisters and spouses, 11 nieces and nephews.

Preceding Neal were grandparen­ts brown and Nellie Farris, Paul and Laurie Gleation, Uncle Dick Cline, and cousin Janie Lueck.

Interment was at monnt Memorial March 17.
