From the Ground Up
With a long list of modifications and visible style, this custom ’63 Chevrolet C-10 from Greg Sefcik holds nothing back and easily tops our list. The truck was built during an 18-month frame-off restoration process.
The heart of this beast is a 2005 6.0L LQ4 engine featuring Edelbrock intake and rails, 32-pound injectors, Gibson headers, Jet Performance throttle body and a host of other additions. From MSD wires to Magnaflow mufflers on a 2.5-inch stainless steel V-banded exhaust system, Greg didn’t neglect a single part when embarking on this build. With a 4L65E transmission, 2,2002,400 stall converter and drive-by-wire modification, this ’63 gets the most out of its swap while adding modernization to the controls.
The suspension setup has also seen a full rework, to wring every bit of the power out from under the hood. A No Limit Engineering Wide Ride front-end features a power rackand-pinion, while Accuair e-level technology helps control suspension height with automatic intelligence for better handling and remembered settings on the Air Lift ’bags. With
3.73 gears along with a new Eaton posi unit, No Limit Engineering adjustable pan hard bar, rear drum brakes, converted front 12-inch disc brakes with D52 calipers and Wilwood master cylinder, this ride can handle any condition it meets with control and stopping power.
Cosmetics have not been ignored for performance, however, as a glance at this C-10 will show. The build sits on 2010 Nissan GTR R35 forged wheels, which feature billet adapters and are wrapped in Toyo Proxes tires. The interior houses Speedhut gauges and face plate, Vintage Air climate control, ididit column, Kenwood head unit, JL Audio 10w6 subwoofer, Old Skool Soundstream Reference 405 amplifier and Polk Audio mids in custom kick panels. Gold C-10 carpet and late-model Chevy pickup bench seat with blanket cover set the tone for the interior, while all new glass and custom one-piece side windows keep this C-10 looking as new as when it drove off the lot.
