TBe­long­ing to Chad Cash, the paint, in­te­rior, Vortec 350 and 4L60e trans­mis­sion are all orig­i­nal. Low­ered on Bell­tech rear leaf springs and shocks, as well as Hotchkis racing coils, there’s no doubt that this ’98 is sit­ting his ’93 Chevro­let S-10 has be­longed to Mike Tay­lor since 1995 and was a daily driver ev­ery day un­til 2002 when Mike got rear-ended. After a bad ex­pe­ri­ence with a painter and the ev­ery day de­mands of a busy life, the S-10 sat in pieces for more than 10 years, while Mike dragged it around and con­sid­ered scrap­ping it sev­eral times.

When life got bet­ter, Mike got to work. The en­gine and tranny re­main stock with only 80,273 miles on them. The in­te­rior fea­tures an orig­i­nal bench seat, door pan­els, car­pet­ing and parts, but for the Ken­wood tape pret­tier than when it drove off the lot. Orig­i­nal bush­ings have been re­placed with En­ergy Sus­pen­sion parts, and a Hell­wig rear sway bar was in­stalled.

Al­to­gether, Chad has a sus­pen­sion setup that takes this Ta­hoe from a daily driver to daily di­ver­sion, mak­ing, as he says, “high speed cor­ners fun.” To stop his ride, Chad has added SSBC front calipers hold­ing Hawk Racing pads and SSBC slot­ted ro­tors. The in­te­rior fea­tures an Alpine head unit and Fo­cal speak­ers, en­sur­ing it sounds as good as it looks.

Sit­ting on 20x8 and 20x9.5 US Mags Ram­blers dressed in Falken 255/45R20 and 295/40R20 tires, re­spec­tively, Chad’s work is far from fin­ished. He’s cur­rently build­ing a heads/cam 5.3L en­gine to get more power be­hind these ex­ten­sive sus­pen­sion up­grades. We can’t wait to see where this build ends up.

deck Mike bought in 1996. With not even a crack in the dash, these orig­i­nal parts serve as Mike’s trib­ute to his love for the orig­i­nal Chevy aes­thetic. LMC Truck sup­plied weather-strip­ping and rub­ber com­po­nents to keep the S-10 look­ing new.

On the ex­te­rior, GM Black paint gives this Chevy clean style. Low­ered with the help of a Bell­tech 4- and 3-inch low­er­ing kit, the truck fea­tures new leaf springs in the rear with match­ing spin­dles and springs for the front. Bell­tech shocks have also given this Chevy’s sus­pen­sion new life. Sit­ting on 17x8 Cen­ter Line Scor­pi­ons and 235/45R17 BF Goodrich tires, Mike is look­ing for­ward to tak­ing this S-10 back out on the road. With a clean setup that shows years of ded­i­ca­tion to a truck he loves, we can hardly blame him.
