Realtor of the Week
Name: Cathy & Jack Prenner Company name: Campbell & Rosemurgy Real Estate Originally from: Cathy is from Worcester, Massachusetts; Jack was born in Fort Lauderdale Current home: Lighthouse Point Realtor designations: GRI, CRS, SRES, CDPE, ABR How long in real estate? Cathy has been in real estate for 30 years, and Jack for 27 years What made you get into real estate? We’ve always found homes for family
and friends and almost couldn’t help being involved in real estate. It’s the best job in the world for us. What separates you from other Realtors? We have a clear, forward-thinking perspective of the constantly changing real estate market, and how it affects your investment portfolio. We also have unparalleled knowledge of the waterways and communities where we work. Which neighborhoods/areas are your specialty? Lighthouse Point, Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale. Describe your working style? We are extremely organized and have a passion for the job. We have advertised internationally as well as nationally and locally. We have a comprehensive approach and use every means we can to find buyers for our properties. What advice do you have for buyers? Today’s buyers need to recognize that today’s OK deal is very likely tomorrow’s great deal. Waiting and wanting today’s purchase to be all about them will only hurt them. Homes may not appraise but that does not mean that the buyer is not making a good purchase. The appraisers look at where we have been, not necessarily where we are today. What advice do you have for sellers? We all know that the market is better but the question is how much better? A few years ago sellers lost a huge amount of money wanting just a little bit more at a time when it seemed like the sky was the limit for what they could get for their homes. Every thinking person has learned from this unsustainable market. Compromise is a good thing when buying and selling and it feels right to all concerned and helps to keep the deal together. How does what you’ve learned about real estate help your clients? We have years and years of experience in all types of markets and all kinds of people. We have learned so much and we use this knowledge in all our dealings with the public. We have a very good reputation and this is tremendously important to us. What’s the hottest listing you have right now? We have a beautiful home listed for $1,749,000 that is at 2790 NE 23rd Place in Pompano Beach. The spacious home is on a deep lot with 100 feet of water front- age with no fixed bridges on the closet canal to the Hillsboro Inlet. The home has five bedrooms, four-and-one-half baths, and is on a quiet street across from a park. Desirable first floor Master bedroom. Huge second floor waterfront balcony to enjoy the water views. What professional accomplishment makes you the most proud? We are very proud that so many people trust us with the job of selling their homes and helping them to find the homes for their family. People come back to us time after time because they trust us, and we find that amazingly gratifying. Are you involved in any charitable organizations? Soropti- mist, current member (and past president) of the Pompano Beach Rotary Club. Former board member of the Broward County chapter of the American Red Cross, Save the Children and Compassion International sponsors. What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? It surprises us that we have 9 grandchildren and two more on the way.
