An 87-year-old man fell out of his SUV and it rolled over him Saturday morning, a Palm Beach County sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

After the 9:10 a.m. incident, the man was airlifted to Delray Medical Center, Teri Barbera said. His in- juries were unknown.

The man, whose name has not been released, was attempting to back up his Toyota RAV4 at the Century Village retirement community in Boca Raton when he slipped out of the driver’s seat, falling onto the ground, Barbera said.

The SUV continued to back up over him.

Firefighters found the man on the ground next to the vehicle, and the man then told them how he had fallen out of the vehicle and it rolled over him.
