Comment: Douglas, who played left tackle this season, was an All-Pac 12 selection. But he spent the previous two seasons at left guard, earning second-team All-Pac 12 honors as a junior. One scouting report says he projects as a left guard in the NFL, which is where the Dolphins plan to use him. Douglas has a good body for a guard, and he’s athletic with a nasty demeanor. Scouts point to some technique flaws, but he’s considered a solid prospect at guard. Douglas will contend with incumbents Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner as well as some other veterans. Douglas, who has versatility as a tackle or guard, should have a good shot at earning a starting job. Either way he should provide quality depth.
