One survives after two are pulled from ocean in Miami Beach
A woman died after Miami Beach Ocean Rescue pulled her and another woman out of choppy waters on Sunday afternoon.
The other woman remained in critical condition at Mount Sinai Medical Center, according to Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez.
Ocean Rescue pulled the swimmers out at 53rd Street and the beach and immediately began CPR.
Both were in cardiac arrest.
It was not clear what caused the swimmers to go under.
“The water has been rough all day, but we don’t know if that was a contributing factor,” Rodriguez said.
