A husband who is separated from his wife is accused of driving his car into hers while their two children were inside, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Rodney Donelle Wilder Dassaw, 27, of Pembroke Pines, was charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and two counts of aggravated child abuse.

Dassaw, who does not have a criminal record, has worked as a security guard, according to testimony given Monday during Broward County first appearance court.

No one was injured in the incident Sunday that began when Dassaw and his wife of five years argued about getting back together while having lunch in Hollywood.

After she dropped him off at a Hallandale Beach church, he kicked her car and in his vehicle, followed her and the minor children, according to a deputy’s report.

At the 5800 block of West Hallandale Beach Boulevard in West Park, Dassaw intentionally rammed his right front end and bumper into his wife’s car, causing heavy damage to the driver’s door, the Sheriff’s Office said.

“The victim and children were not hurt during the act, but were very frightened,” Broward Judge John “Jay” Hurley said before ordering a $12,500 bond for Dassaw.
