Tourism group wants to hire six new staff members

Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing organization for Palm Beach County, is seeking to fill six staff positions.

Three are newly created positions while the others are jobs that became vacant due to departures, bureau spokeswoman Heather Andrews said recently.

The new positions were created to better meet the needs of the bureau as the county enjoys record tourism, Andrews said. Those jobs are management roles in social media, public relations, and advertising and promotion.

Separately, Discover The Palm Beaches announced a new “Destinations Champions” program to reward local business leaders who recommend the county as a potential site for meetings, conferences and conventions they attend outside the area.
