Turkey dinner: The Everglades Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation has its annual fund-raising banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Hollywood West Elks Lodge, 7190 Davie Road Extension. Fishing talk: Steve Kantner, the author of “Ultimate Guide to Fishing South Florida on Foot,” will talk about fishing from shore from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bass Pro Shops in Dania Beach. SUP races: Island Water Sports has the Sunshine SUP Series June 27 starting at 9 a.m. south of Pompano Pier. There are 3-mile, 6-mile and sprint races in several divisions, plus free kids races. YCF Tournament: The Young Constructors Forum of South Florida has the 13th annual YCF Fishing Tournament for kingfish, dolphin, wahoo and tuna from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27 at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina in Pompano Beach. Entry fee is $1,000 per boat for six anglers. Proceeds benefit Construction Angels, which helps families of construction workers who have lost their lives while working on a jobsite. Call Kristi
