Trump unleashes America’s ‘Freudian ID’

- Brian Blashfield, Delray Beach

Donald Trump has stumbled upon the ability to channel all the anger of the Tea Party/Republican’s most irrational elements and is able to draw huge crowds of people who are being willingly swept into a political “lynch mob” mad at the dysfunction of government and fearful of the future.

The recent FOX-managed and manipulated fake debates never touched upon the real issues facing the majority of Americans. Where were the questions about what any one of the candidates would do about health care and the American families being driven into bankruptcy to pay medical bills. Who of them spoke about the reality of global warming while California burns and July was the hottest month ever recorded. Our stock market is all over the place because of a worldwide dependence on oil. Which candidate has a solution?

Trump is perhaps the most dan- gerous candidate on the spectrum. He shows no interest in developing any kind of policy to cure any of the problems we all know exist. Instead he rants on and on with half truths and, in many examples, utter nonsense. Our Congress has about an 8 percent approval rating, and no one seems to notice that it is dominated by the many of the same people who make the same noise as Trump.

We need leaders with real ideas and real plans not demagogues shouting in our faces. Be wary of Trump and who you vote in to office.
