DEERFIELD BEACH — City wants to keep you in the loop.

The city is debuting a free new app, “InsideDFB” that will update city news and events, including showing what fish are swimming around the pier.

Sign up for alerts and receive messages about delayed garbage pick-up or canceled city events. Another feature, “Fix It,” offers the opportunity to report publicproperty that needs to be repaired or cleaned. Residents can snap a photo of a pothole, for example, and direct it towardthe citymanager’s office with the location and description of the problem.

These features are also available through the city’s website, deerfieldbeach. Hall
