Eberle sidelined, Andrews returns

- Safid Deen

TALLAHASSEE — Florida State center Alec Eberle, who is listed as the starter at his position, was not present during Monday’s practice.

Eberle has been in and out of practice in the last week after dealing with concussion-like symptoms.

True freshman center Adam Boselli, who is listed behind Eberle on the depth chart, took first-team snaps during practice. He was followed by redshirt junior Ryan Hoefeld and true freshman Bave on Johnson.

Senior safety Nate Andrews, whowas out formost of the preseason with a hamstring injury, returned to practice.

Along with providing veteran experience in FSU’s defensive backfield, Andrews enters the season with more interceptions (seven) than any other Seminole.

Wide receivers George Campbell (groin) and Ermon Lane (foot) also have returned from their respective injuries.

Jimbo Fisher mentioned the likes of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Montana in an attempt to stress the importance of decisionin quarterback play while responding to a question about starter Deondre Francois.

While each of the athletes is talented in his own right, Fisher said “that don't mean diddly-doo” unless it comes with making great decisions and being accurate with the football.
