Aman linked to social media posts threatening a Pulse-style attack against the LGBT community in South Floridawas arrested Saturday by the Florida Highway Patrol on an unrelated charge, officials said.

A Broward County judge on Saturday held an emergency hearing to issue an arrestwarrant for Craig Jungwirth, 50, for an unrelated pending misdemeanor case.

But his attorney, Ron L. Baum, said he did not appear in court because he lives in Orange County, andwas not able to get to the emergency hearing in time.

Hewas arrested by troopers after driving on a suspended license in Osceola County, said Orlando Police Lt. Richard Ruth.

An emergency hearing before Broward County Judge Ginger LernerWrenwas called to revoke the bond of Jungwirth, 50, on an unrelated pending misdemeanor case.

Jungwirth has not been charged in connection with online threats made under his name.

Police said Facebook posts on Aug. 30 mentioned the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando and made threats planned for LaborDayweekend inWiltonManors.

WiltonManors Police Chief Paul O'Connell said therewould be extra staff on duty through the holiday weekend because of the social media threats.

LernerWren said Jungwirth’s violation of bond conditions on the prior pending case and “escalating concerns of public safety,” along with his failure to appear in court Saturday, called for the “extraordinary measure” of revoking his bond and issuing an arrestwarrant.

“This court finds that this is an extraordinary dynamic,” she said.

The alarming Facebook postswere not openly discussed in court Saturday.

Jungwirth’s attorney, Ron L. Baum, appeared in court, but his client did not make it. Baumsaid hewas notified Saturday morning about the hearing and alerted Jungwirth, who was in Orlando. He expected his client to drive to South Florida for the emergency hearing.

Following the hearing, Baumsaid the judge had fairly granted extra time to hold the hearing and, given his client’s absence, “she really didn’t have any choice in what she did.”

Jungwirthwas charged with defrauding an innkeeper for allegedly failing to pay a food and drink bill at a WiltonManors establishment in late 2014.

In a separate incident, inMay, he was accused of damaging windows at Rumors Bar& Grill, also inWilton Manors, and charged with criminal mischief, court records show.

According to the judge, who cited a memo in court, Jungwirth had been placed in a diversion program and subsequently kicked out of it for being “combative.”
