March 8 deadline to have ballot mailed to you

March 8 is the last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot sent to you for theMarch 14 municipal election. Call the Supervisor of Elections at 954-357-7055, visit BrowardSOE.org or request by mail to the Supervisor of ElectionsM­ain Office (115 S. Andrews Ave., Room 102, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301). A mailed request must include your name, address, date of birth and signature.

From March 9 to 13, you can pick up a vote-by-mail ballot in person at the Voting Equipment Center (1501 NW 40th Ave., Lauderhill). A family member can pick up your ballot for you starting March 9 with an affidavit signed by you. (Affidavits are available on the elections website.) In an emergency, you or a family membermay pickupa voteby-mail ballot the day of the election; this requires an affidavit affirming the emergency.

Ballots must be returned byMarch14 at 7 p.m.

Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey awarded Ryan Jolluck and Emily Mochel of Weston with Dean’s List status. Francesca Pinillos Ruiz of Pembroke Pines and Heesook Song of Weston were bestowed with Kent State University in Ohio’s Dean’s List honor. The University of Hartford named Elizabeth Garafola of Pembroke Pines, Colin Burke of Parkland, Alex Jean of Wilton Manors and Jillian Moore of Fort Lauderdale to itsDean’s List.

Michael Burton of Coconut Creek and Tomas Henriquez of Weston earned the distinctio­n of Faculty Honors at Georgia Institute of Technology, which goes to students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.
