Judge rules TV interview can air
Interviewee accused in face-biting killings
The never-aired interview that Austin Harrouff, accused of two killings, did with the “Dr. Phil Show” should be released, aMartin County judge has ruled, according to TCPalm.
Harrouff, 19, is accused in the face-biting killings of a Jupiter couple, John Stevens, 59, and Michelle Mishcon, 53, on Aug. 15 in the garage of theirMartin County home.
Harrouff, who attended Suncoast Community High School in Riviera Beach and Florida State University, did the interview with the “Dr. Phil Show” while still hospitalized, but the segment never aired. Harrouff has since been moved to a jail.
Attorneys for media outletswere seeking access to the interview over the arguments of Harrouff’s attorneys, who argued that releasing it would jeopardize their client’s right to a fair trial.
