Gators win

Florida capped a sweep of Miami with a 6-2 victory on Sunday at McKethan Stadium.

Itwas the Gators’ first sweep of the Hurricanes since 2012.

Starting pitcher Jackson Kowar went 5.2 innings, striking out seven batters and allowing one run. The seven strikeouts push Kowar's season total to 17, tied with Brady Singer for the team lead.

In three games during theweekend, the Florida pitching staff allowed two runs on 12 hits in 27 total innings.
