The following is a sampling of reports obtained fromthe Florida Fish andWildlif­eConservat­ionCommiss­ion.

During a late-night patrol on State Road 84 in Fort Lauderdale, an officer with the Florida FishandWil­dlifeConse­rvationCom­mission saw individual­s catching blue land crabs. She conducted a fisheries inspection and cited an individual for having more than the legal bag limit of blue land crabs. The person was permitted to keep the legal limit and, with the officer’s help, 32 crabs were released back to the mangroves alive.

Officers responded to the Deerfield Beach Pier regarding a complaint of someone catching and keeping undersized mutton snapper. Inspection­s revealed that one person had two such fish; the personwas issued a citation.
