Miami man is a front-runner

- Johnny Diaz

As ABC’s “The Bachelorette” continues in its fifthweek, Miami’s Bryan Abasolo remains a front-runner in capturing Rachel Lindsay’s heart. She’s clearly enjoying his courtship, even from 187 feet high (more on that below).

As they sat inside a boat in HiltonHead, S.C., theKendall chiropractor told her, “I just thinkwe’re a perfect match. I feel likewe’re going to fall in love by the end of this.”

After some smooches, she told viewers she appreciated that he’s not caught up in the drama in the house. There’s been simmering tension between contestants Lee Garrett andKenny King.

Said Lindsay of Abasolo, “He is just focused on us.”

She also gave Abasolo, 37, a date rose. The showeventually shifted to Oslo, Norway, where Lindsay and Abasolo embarked on their one-on-one date while the other guys stayed in their hotel and talked about Garrett and King.

Their (gulp!) date: rappelling off a 187-foot-high Olympic ski jump.

“You’re not scared, I’m not scared,” he told her before they began slowly rappelling down.

As they dangled off the jump, she shared with viewers, “Bryan is making me feel like I can do anything.”

They stopped to smooch in mid-air. “Bryan has this confidence that is very contagious and it’s very sexy. When I see Bryan, I see forward. Bryan makes me excited. He makes me hopeful. He makes me feel good, and I don’twant it to ever stop.”
