Childish behaviorwon’t help heal dividedUS Russia hysteria must end, and it’s baseless

Watchingmy two 7-year-old grandsons interact, and at times fight, these cousins knowhowto push each others’ buttons. My daughter always says to her son, “Don’t poke the bear.” Her son understands that his response can escalate any argument.

Don’t you think that if the term Affordable Care Actwas used, and not “Obamacare,” the bear might be less agitated? There are too many in politics that dig their heals in and become more obstinate. The constant poking is only leading to more division within the electorate.

The bullying and arrogant stance of our leaders does nothing to heal the division, which they say they’ve wanted since the election. This childish behavior is not what Americans want to show. Leaders lead by example. This adolescent behavior has to stop; it is too damaging to the morals of our country. We have to know better than to accept this behavior.

America, a great country, must stop this hysteria over “Russian interference” in our election. It is embarrassing and untrue. The Russians do not have the power, capability or desire to do so. They clearly do not like us, but they do not care to differentiate between one candidate or the other. These accusations are comical and might turn dangerous as Russia perceives our hostility toward them and reacts in kind. It might not be in our best interests.
