n Saturday, former Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, joining an induction class that also includes kicker Morten Andersen, running back Terrell Davis, safety Kenny Easley, running back LaDainian Tomlinson, quarterbac­k Kurt Warner and Jerry Jones, owner, president and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys. Taylor will be the 10th person who spent the majority of his career with the Dolphins to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio, and only the second defensive player. A look at the facts, figures and accomplish­ments that mark Taylor’s legendary career:

Selected in the third round (No. 73) in the 1997 draft out of Akron and played in 233 games over 15 seasons.

Voted to the Pro Bowl six times; named first-team All-Pro in 2000, 2002 and 2006; and All-AFC in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006. Named to NFL’s AllDecade Team of the 2000s and was picked as the Dolphins’ Most Valuable Player four times.

Played for the Dolphins from 1997-2007, as well as in 2009 and 2011. (He was a member of the Washington Redskins in 2008 and the New York Jets in 2010).

Registered double-digit sack totals in a season six times over an eight-year span (2000-07).

Led the NFL and tied the Dolphins team record with a career-high 18.5 sacks in 2002.

In 2005, had a team-record fumble return of 85 yards for a touchdown against the Denver Broncos.

Named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2006 after finishing with 13.5 sacks, two intercepti­ons returned for touchdowns, 11 passes defended, 10 forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 62 tackles.

In 2007, received Walter Payton Man of the Year award, which recognizes a player for his community service activities and excellence on the field.

Runner-up to former Olympic skater Kristi Yamaguchi on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” in 2008.

Career statistics: 139.5 sacks; eight intercepti­ons, returned for 110 yards and three touchdowns; league record-tying 29 opponents’ fumbles recovered; scored an NFL record six touchdowns on fumble recoveries; and three safeties.

On October 14, 2012, was inducted into the Dolphins Honor Roll along with his former teammate Zach Thomas.

In March, became an assistant football coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, where his son is a freshman.
