In search of two-for-one deals for the month of September
September ushers in several two-for-the-price-of-one deals such as for sightseeing trips on the Jungle Queen in Fort Lauderdale (954-462-5596). Normally, its three-hour afternoon cruise on the New River costs about $60 for two adults, but after Labor Day you can ask for the buy-one-get-one deal, thanks to Broward Attractions and Museum Month or “BAMM.”
Sixteen places are participating in the monthlong promotion, including Xtreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale (954-491-6265), where roller skating and a rope course will be two for the price of one. A couple of destinations normally charge about $20 per adult — Bonnet House Museum & Gardens in Fort Lauderdale (954-563-5393) and Flamingo Gardens in Davie (954-473-2955). Most participants begin their offers Sept. 1, including Coral Springs Museum of Art and the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale. A few, like Plantation Historical Museum, allow everyone in free all year. Get details at facebook.com/BAMMsfl.
If you don’t like what you see, you may recall the previously mentioned two-for-one Summer Savings card that you can print at Sunny.org/summer. Good through Oct. 15, the card can be used at such Broward attractions as Butterfly World (normally $29.95 per adult).
Palm Beach County two-forone deals seem harder to come by. Tip: Go to CulturalConnection.org to see whether half-price, same-day theater tickets are available on a desired day for Lake Worth Playhouse, Maltz Jupiter Theatre or other venues around the county and South Florida.
Freebie: Get a free regular scoop of ice cream at BaskinRobbins in return for downloading its mobile app and signing up for mobile deals. Find details at BaskinRobbins.com.
Rebate freebie: The deadline has been extended to try Right Guard Xtreme Precision Dry Spray antiperspirant for free after rebate (valued between $4.99 to $7.49). Print a rebate form at bit.ly/zeroRGX. You must purchase it at certain stores — Target, CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens. Deadline is mid- to late September, depending on the store.
