South Florida continues its efforts to help the people of Texas reeling from Hurricane Harvey.

DONATION STATIONS

Miami Dolphins hosts Hurricane Harvey Donation Drive at Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive, Miami Gardens; and Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeaste­rn University, 7500 SW 30th Street,, through Sept. 15. Donations will be sent directly to shelters in the Houston area. Seeking everyday items such as clothing, water, food, school supplies, batteries, candles, blankets, feminine hygiene products, socks.: a full list of supplies for donation can be found at Dolphins.com.

The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, at 5444 Haverhill Road, West Palm Beach, where the Houston Astros train, is accepting donations from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, said general manager Brady Ballard. There won’t be a collection Sunday, but it will resume accepting donated goods Monday through Sept. 6.

Delray Beach has received several inquiries from the public on drop-off locations to send items to Texas for disaster relief. At this time, the city is not collecting food, clothing, or other supplies, but rather urges its citizens who are interested in making contributi­ons to do so wisely; researchin­g the organizati­on prior to donating. The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County has establishe­d an emergency relief fund. Those who wish to donate can do so online, by calling 561-852-5002 or by sending a check with the notation “Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund” to JFSPBC, 9901 Donna Klein Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33428. Catholic Charities of the Archdioces­e of Miami is accepting monetary donations through its website, ccadm.org. Catholic Charities, in conjunctio­n with Catholic Charities USA, also will send staff to help with the relief efforts, spokeswoma­n Maria Rivas said.

While admission is free (with RSVP), guests are encouraged to purchase donation tickets to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Seeking donations of hygiene products, diapers and toiletries will be accepted at an on-site disaster relief donation booth. Contributi­ons of $10, $25 and $100 also will be accepted online, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to a Miami Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, administer­ed by The Miami Foundation.
