SCHOOLS:

Broward and Palm Beach County schools won’t open until Thursday at the earliest. School districts cited power outages and the transition from use as shelters. Both districts said school buildings did not suffer significan­t damage.

STORES:

Supermarke­ts and retailers are starting to come back, as are specialty stores like Home Depot. Only Whole Foods remains closed until further notice.

ROADS:

Bridges to the barrier island remain locked down. Broward County buses will run starting today, but only from 7am. to 7 p.m. Tri-Rail remains out of service.

Schools

All Broward County Public Schools and Miami-Dade Public Schools are closed until further notice. Broward and Palm Beach schools won’t reopen until at least Thursday. All diocesan Catholic

schools are closed through Tuesday.

Florida State University will be closed all week. The University of

Florida will open its campus on Wednesday, but classes are canceled until further notice. The University of Miami won’t resume classes until at least Sept. 18, and Florida Internatio­nal University is closed until further notice.

Miami-Dade College, Palm Beach State College, Broward College and Lynn University are closed until further notice. Florida Atlantic University will resume classes on Sept. 18. Classes and activities at St. Thomas University and Johnson & Wales University’s North

Miami campus has canceled classes until at least Sept. 18. Keiser University plans to reopen Wednesday.

Gas

A good resource is the GasBuddy app, which uses crowdsourc­ed reporting from drivers who gather what’s open and closed right now, along with prices. Mobil Gas Station in Boca Raton (7176 Beracasa Way) at Palmetto Park Rd still has gas, for now.

Marathon Gas in Coral Springs (9605 Westview Dr.) currently has gas a no lines. Chevron Gas in Fort Lauderdale (233o S. Federal Hwy) on the corner of US1 and State Road 84 has gas.

Mobil Gas Station in Fort Lauderdale (2333 S. Andrews Ave.) on the corner of Andrews Ave. and State Road 84 has gas

Cumberland Farms in Margate (6900 W Atlantic Blvd) is open and operating from 5 a.m.-12 a.m.

Cumberland Farms in Deerfield Beach (1335 S. Federal Hwy., Deerfield Beach) has gas.

Chevron station in Fort Lauderdale (4999 Powerline Rd., in Fort Lauderdale (the corner of Commercial and Powerline). GasBuddy.com confirms that there’s gas at there for $2.79.

Sunoco Gas Station in Lighthouse Point (3900 N. Federal Hwy) has gas.

Shopping

Most Publix Supermarke­ts in Broward and Palm Beach County are open, but hours of operation and products available might not return to normal for a few days. . In Broward, all except for seven of Publix’s 87 stores were open as of Monday night. In Palm Beach County, only two are yet to open, but all are expected to reopen Tuesday. Walmarts began opening Monday, including locations at 1199 Federal Highway in Pompano Beach and 7900 W. McNab Road. The status of local Walmarts are being updated here.

These CVS stores are open: 3090 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Oakland Park; 5501 W. Oakland Park Blvd., in Lauderhill; 2801 E. Oakland Park Blvd., in Fort Lauderdale.

Winn-Dixie on Monday opened Fort Lauderdale locations at 1625 Cordova Rd and 680 N Federal Hwy.

Many Target stores reopened Monday, including locations in Deerfield Beach (1200 S Federal Hwy, 3599 W Hillsboro Blvd), Coral Springs (4400 N State Rd 7, 9600 Westview Dr), Fort Lauderdale (3200 N Federal Hwy), Boca Raton (21637 State Road 7), Boynton Beach (650 N Congress Ave) and Hollywood (3251 Hollywood Blvd), but roughly

half of their South Florida store locations remain closed, according to informatio­n on the store’s website. For open Target stores near you, check here.

Walgreens opened most of its stores Monday.

Whole Foods markets are closed until further notice.

Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise will re-open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Independen­t stores have their own re-opening schedules. For more informatio­n, call 954-846-2350 or go to SawgrassMi­lls.com.

Aventura Mall will reopen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and close at 5 p.m. due to the Miami-Dade County curfew.

Mizner Park will open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Home Depot stores will open throughout the day as damage is assessed. The following Home Depot stores are currently open: *Hialeah Gardens at 13895 W. Transporta­tion

Airports: Palm Beach Internatio­nal Airport opened at noon Monday. Fort Lauderdale Internatio­nal Airport aims to open Tuesday at 4 a.m. At Miami Internatio­nal Airport; flights will gradually resume Tuesday. Check with individual airlines for flight statuses. Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport is open Monday until 8 p.m. and then open for business as usual on Tuesday.

Bridges: Bridges to the barrier islands remain locked down.

Buses: Broward Transit bus service will resume a weekday schedule on Tuesday, but it will operate only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Express bus service to and from Miami will also operate on those hours.

Tolls: Gov. Rick Scott has suspended all statewide tolls including Florida’s Turnpike, Interstate 95 express lanes, state roads, and all expressway­s.

Tri-Rail: Service is suspended until further notice.

Recreation

YouFit Health Clubs will have its Margate location open to the general public until 8 p.m. Monday.

The Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County is closed. Everglades National Park in Homestead is closed. Fort Lauderdale beach is closed and is not being protected by lifeguards.

The Florida Lottery has temporaril­y suspended daily drawings due to Hurricane Irma. But hold onto your tickets — you will still be eligible to win.

Hobe Sound National

Wildlife Refuge is closed.

Loxahatche­e National Wildlife Refuge is closed.

YMCA of the Palm Beaches, at 2085 S. Congress Ave. in West Palm Beach, is closed.

Attraction­s

Jungle Island sustained extensive damage (all the animals are safe due to preparatio­n) and will remain closed until further notice. For updates, go to JungleIsla­nd.com. Gulfstream Park’s live racing is scheduled to resume Saturday and simulcasti­ng will resume Wednesday.

The Deerfield Beach Internatio­nal Pier is shut down until further notice. Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach is closed. Museum of Discovery and Science and AutoNation IMAX Theater is closed.

The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach is closed. South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, 4801 Dreher Trail North in West Palm Beach, is closed. Zoo Miami will be closed until further notice. Disney World will reopen today.

Cleveland Clinic Florida medical offices in Broward and Palm Beach Counties are closed. Patient appointmen­ts, elective surgeries and outpatient procedures have been reschedule­d. Florida Department of Health is closed.

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale is open for emergencie­s Monday, and the urgent care center will open at 1 p.m. East and West Boca urgent care centers are closed Monday. Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s emergency department and trauma center is open. The urgent care centers remain closed until further notice. Holy Cross Hospital is open for emergencie­s. Holy Cross Outpatient, Medical Group, Urgent Care & Imaging Centers and HealthPlex is closed. West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, 7305 N. Military Trial in West Palm Beach, will reopen on Tuesday, resuming normal health care operations beginning at 8 a.m. Broward Health Hospitals resumed normal operations as of 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11. These hospitals include Broward Health Medical Center, Broward Health Imperial Point, Broward Health North and Broward Health Coral Springs.

Government /Facilities

The Legal Aid Campus in Plantation (Legal Aid Service of Broward County and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida) closed Wednesday.

Florida: All state offices are closed.

All three South Florida county government offices are closed.

Courts

The 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Broward tentativel­y plans to reopen on Tuesday morning if circumstan­ces permit. Jurors scheduled to report may call the jury informatio­n line at 561-355-2930. All other hearings and proceeding­s are canceled. Online services have been suspended for the duration of the storm, but you can still pay traffic tickets online at mypalmbeac­hclerk.com/pay. Driver’s license suspension payments have been extended until the office reopens, and customer’s whose driver’s licenses are due to suspend Monday have until the next business day that the Clerk’s office is open to pay traffic tickets.

The 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach

County is closed until further notice. Jury duty is canceled and online services have been suspended until power can be restored. Driver’s license suspension payments are extended until the office reopens.

Federal courts are closed in South Florida. They are expected to reopen in each county when the local school district resumes classes.

Broward courts are closed Tuesday and won’t reopen until further notice. . A decision about when to fully reopen will be made at a later time. Palm Beach County courts are closed through at least Tuesday, including court hearings, jury duty and foreclosur­e sales. Online services have been suspended until power can be restored, and driver’s license suspension payments will be extended until office reopens.
