Agape Hearts’ Miami chapter is organized the Davie event. Additional Bowling With Dad functions will take place in Orlando and Jacksonville.
The Memorial Rehabilitation Institute also hosted a Bowl-A-Thon fundraising event at Sparez, an event which drew more than 300 participants.
The money goes toward providing adaptive water aerobics, adaptive chair yoga, adaptive scuba diving, wheelchair basketball
and wheelchair tennis over the year.
“For many of our participants, funds are a barrier that stand in their way from actively participating in sporting events,” the center said. “Proceeds will assist with access, transportation, entry fees and sponsorships for our adaptive athletes.”
