Students named Nat’l Merit semifinali­sts

Broward County Public Schools has announced that 53 of its students made it to the semifinal round for the National Merit Scholarshi­p. They belong to a pool of 16,000 students nationwide who acheived the highest scores when taking the Preliminar­y SAT/National Merit Scholarshi­p Qualifying Test as juniors in 2016.

The following local students made the semifinals:
