Miller limited during workouts

-

UCF offensive right tackle Wyatt Miller, who left the Memphis game Saturday during the Knights’ first series with an ankle injury, is still hobbled and was described by offensive coordinator Troy Walters as “limited” this week in practice.

Redshirt sophomore Jake Brown took most of the snaps in place of Miller, rotating with freshman Samuel Jackson.

“He’s a lot better. We’ll see what happens Saturday, but it’s good to get some of the younger guys in. We have depth,” Walters said of Miller. “With an ankle, you just never know. He’s a tough kid. One thing we don’t want to do is put him out there and have a setback and now he’s out four or five weeks, so we’ll be smart and we know next man up is capable of doing the job.”

If Scott Frost wasn’t hired as UCF’s football coach in 2015, it’s unlikely speedy playmaker Adrian Killins would be on campus breaking records. When Frost was hired, Killins saw an opportunity. The Daytona Beach Mainland High running back knew Frost was bringing his wide-open Oregon offense to Orlando, and Killins figured he was a perfect fit.

“I instantly sent my film to UCF because of him coming from Oregon … my objective was to play in a high-caliber offense that goes fast and plays speed guys like me,” Killins said. “So I knew if I was coming to this offense I could do great things to help win championships … national championships. We’re on that road to do that.”

Next game: No. 25 UCF at Cincinnati, ESPNU
